Register early for our 2008 Freight, Locomotive, and EPIC Locomotive air brake classes. Classses are held at Wabtec's corporate headquarters in Wilmerding,PA (near Pittsburgh).

Freight Car Air Brakes      Cost of Class:$600/person
Designed to teach students all aspects of freight car air brakes, this seminar outlines basic braking principles and details the operation of the ABDX Control Valve. Topics include basic air brakes, auxiliary and empty/load equipment, principles of long train operation, and manual and automated single car test procedures. The session also includes a demonstration on Wabtec's 150-car test rack, a tour of the WABCO Locomotive Products production facility and in-class simulations of Wabtec's ABDX freight car and 26-L locomotive brake equipment.

Locomotive Air Brakes     Cost of Class:$600/person
This course provides an overview of locomotive air brakes using 26L and 30 ACDW brake equipment and includes an introduction to EPIC Electro-Pneumatic locomotive brake equipment. Topics include basic air brakes, braking principles, main reservoir air supply, principles of long train operation and how to read air brake diagrams. The session also includes a demonstration on Wabtec's 150-car test rack, a tour of the WABCO Locomotive Products production facility and in-class simulations of Wabtec's ABDX freight car and 26-L locomotive brake equipment.

EPIC Locomotive Air Brakes     Cost of Class:$600/person
ATTENTION: Wabtec Global Services highly recommends that students attend our Locomotive Air Brake Training class before attending an EPIC Air Brake Training class. Save $200 when you enroll in both the locomotive and EPIC trining classes.

Designed to teach all aspects of EPIC locomotive air brake equipment, this course details the operating principles of EPIC control portion operation as well as the functions of each component. The class will include demonstrations using an EPIC Locomotive Air Brake Simulator and will detail air brake equipment setup and integration as well as equipment testing, maintenance procedures and the use of Diagnostics Maintenance Terminal Software/Remote Session to aid in troubleshooting. The session also includes a tour of the WABCO Locomotive Products production facility.
